Harmony Creek Water Pollution Control Plant
SIRATI & Partners was engaged by R.V. Anderson Associates Limited (RVA) on behalf of Durham Region to undertake a geotechnical investigation for the proposed major maintenance work planned at the Harmony Creek Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) located at 785 Colonel Sam Drive in Oshawa, Ontario.
The project involved the design and construction of the following key upgrades to
the Harmony Creek WPCP:
- New Administration Building – at grade
- Rerouting of Digester Gas Piping and Bio Gas Burner
- Two Biosolids/Sludge Thickening Tanks – 6m below grade
The objectives of the investigation were to determine the subsurface conditions at the proposed new structure areas by means of exploratory boreholes, and to provide associated geotechnical recommendations.
